Hi all I am currently using a Asus M4A89GTD Pro motherboard with its HD4290 onboard graphics.

Had to sell my 5770 last year due to losing my job. I know want to get back in to PC gaming so have been trying out the on board GPU. I have tried Mafia 2 with everything on low and even dropped the resolution down yet I still get loads of lag. Have also tried Red Faction Guerilla and get the same.

I have increased the 1055T I am using with it to 3.9Ghz and has made little if no difference so I think the on board GPU is the limiting factor. What card should I be looking for the play these games smoothly?

I would be looking second hand and as cheap as possible.

should be able to find a 1 gig radeon 4850 for pretty cheap these days.

mine runs all my games pretty well @ 1920x1200 :)

Excellent. The highest res I will be playing at is 1920x1080 so that should be spot on.

Cheers
