2nd hand 4890 will do ya, I'm running one with 4gb of ram & a Q6600 & have played BF2 with it for years.
Started playing again tuther night & it is still active & there's a few No Grenades 64 man servers that are nothing short of Awesome.![]()
Yeah I hear ya. Most fun I ever had playing an online game. When I looked to see if it was till active again I decided to bump up the graphics card I was looking at picking up for my new budget build.
Budget build is a Sandybridge Celery, so BF3 is out of the question!
No really I've not gamed for many a year and don't intend to get back into it - being at the cutting edge is too expensive.
The budget build is soley for net browsing and film watching. I originally decided to use the integrated graphics built into the Celeron, but decided to spend a few quid on a passive 5450. I then decided to go for the 6450, mainly because of the upgraded decoding abilities for video formats. Then I got an idea in my head of splurging on a mental rig and getting a 2500k cpu and a £200 graphics card. I then (thankfully) snapped out of the idea

Anyway I would like to try BF2 on my new 1080p monitor
Its such an immense game its all I will ever need if I get the gaming bug.So a 6570 should do it? I can pick one up new for £50.
What about a 6450?? I can get one for £30.
I would really like to play it a 1080p.
