Well? I don't care what the case is like, I just need the removable motherboard tray from it for a DIY project I'm gonna start.

You should be able to order a bare Lian Li PC-60 direct from a UK distributer, have a look around.

Thanks - only a quick search reveals that the case is around £70. I was looking at spending much less than that - all I want is a removable motherboard tray! Anyone know if you can buy them on their own? I have tried an internet auction site but no luck, grrr.

EDIT: Oh poo, just realised - a power button. How would that be implemented into a homemade case?

Whoops, I meant a "bare Lian Li PC-60 motherboard tray". A previous project on here did the same thing, I forget which.

Edit: A power switch can be any momentary (ie. non latching) switch connected to the pinouts on the motherboard.

One of these and two wires connected from it to the motherboard, the polarity does not matter with the power switch so you could solder to the mobo or make/borrow a little plastic connector for the motherboard.

Thats a bulgin switch btw and you can get them with diferent coloured LEDs or none at all.

thanks for the switch info :)

I can't seem to find a motherboard tray on its own at all!!! I also need a 5.25" drive bay caddy thingy, and the same with the 3.5" drives.

Maybe I should just buy a Lian-Li PC-60, and steal those parts from it? £70 for just those 3 things is a bit steep though!! The more I think about it, the more I think this is all too much like hard work for a tech project!

Found somewhere in the US that do the lian li tray, the belgin switch with a white LED ring. Both are $75 ish delivered to the UK with slow post :p. Makes it about £40 for both. Can't say where of course.

Thanks Raikiri :)

I also need a 5.25" and 3.5" hard drive caddy though, grrr. Or maybe i could just fashoin my own one out of wood... idk.

Do you have msn so you can help me a little on there?

In my trust, but by help out I hope you mean with the build ;) 'cos you can't ask for competitors in any way on the forum

Of course - I mean I have never, ever done any sort of modding and stuff like that, so I'm pretty much clueless. I have built my current computer, but that's as far as I know tbh. You seem pretty knowledgable, so it would be great to have someone to give me a bit of advice. If not it doesn't matter, you've helped plently anyway :D

You have access already to all of the screw placements needed, just a case of reading the dimensions off and drilling the holes onto a plate of steel, adding rubber grommets and screwing in, thats about it for total DIY.

All in the sticky. ;)

Did you call any UK distributers and ask about a replacement motherboard tray as suggested?
