** CHEAPEST IN THE UK - P35 DDR2 & DDR3 Combo Board **

This board is new to the OcUK range and at the time of posting we are the cheapest in the UK on the Foxconn P35AP-S Motherboard.

It is the top of Foxconn's Intel P35 Digital Life range and it provides support for ATI Crossfire and BOTH DDR2 and DDR3 RAM.

Foxconn... I thought OcUK "only the best performance hardware" ;)

Don't judge a book by its cover, it may look cheap with all the wierd and wonderful colours but that's just the colour scheme that Foxconn, in their wisdom, decided on for the Digital Life range. Foxconn make some exceedingly good motherboards and have some of the highest build quality standards in the market. You won't get any loose, lob-sided chipset coolers with Foxconn ;)

Foxconn P35AP-S motherboard has won the Gold Award in the prestigious PC Format Motherboard supertest! (Jan 2008 issue 209)

Up against 9 other motherboards (one of which being the Foxconn Mars board) from Asus, Asrock, XFX, Gigabyte, MSI, the Foxconn P35AP-S topped the PC Format benchmarks and received a magnificent 90% Described as being ‘so fast, it bleeds speed’ it has been credited on it’s ‘stonking performance’ features and value.

Foxconn also practically make half the components for most of the motherboard manufacturers anyway, i'd defiantely be happy buying foxconn products

The only thing with Foxconn is that they hardly ever release bios revisions. I have had two Foxconn M-atx boards and you are lucky if you have one revision after the original release.

That can be seen as a good or bad thing though - maybe they test the original release more than others and don't need to update it much? :)

I'd still much rather getting ASUS P5KC or Gigabyte P35C-DS3R tbh, cheaper, well known, tested and proven.

Not saying the Foxconn board is bad though.

Fair play though to OcUK for offering the cheapest deal on these boards in the UK.

Foxconn would not be my first port of call for a new mobo though, the thought would never enter my mind. I would probably be more inclined to look at ASUS/Gigabyte etc, the usual players before Foxconn.

Maybe however, thats not a fair comment, perhaps Foxconn who indeed, build some quality boards, should take it upon themselves to attempt a marketing strategy that promotes their products such as this board, a bit better?.

I know this might be "old hat" but I still ( wrongly ) think of Foxconn boards as cheap alternatives.

im almost certain that foxconn were the manufacturers of the nvidia reference 680i motherboards, then they were just packaged by the various vendors

im still running a lovely foxconn 939 socket mobo after having gigabytes and asus's die on me. i would actually prefer (and have looked at) foxconn over the other two. especially after Asus "support". plus their mobo's have always been well layed out and thought put into it.

this looks great so i'll probably be buying it for my next build. cheers scotti

Foxconn also supply mobo's to some big brand oem's should mean their build standards are good. I've had a couple in the past and never had any issue with them. Not used them for o/c'ing thou.

i'm not slagging foxconn off per se, was just having a laugh as the 680i boards weren't exactly a piece of art to look at manufacturing wise.

they make tonnes of gear, the main reason i'd be apprehensive buying one of their own branded boards is bios worries.

yeh, what i prefer are lots of bios updates that bring more problems to the table *cough gigabyte*

;) stray from the track occasionally, they make some quality boards.
