How can you tell if £14k total cost is s good/bad deal?
Would you say at £2800 deposit and £316 a month for 3 years, the TRoc R is the cheapest car with the EA888?
Seems very bad indeed, used prices are crazy high, and a new one can be had for 37k potentially. I can only find 2019 cars and they are 33K.What could you buy a new T-Roc R for (Note: The answer to this is not the list price)?
What could you sell a 3 year old T-Roc R for?
What is the difference between these two numbers?
If its more than £14k, then its a bad deal. If its less than £14k, its a good deal.
Hardcore 4x4? Good luck taking it across anything more than a dry, reasonably level field![]()
Do people really start with an engine and then go and find the car that fits around it and their budget afterwards? Seems like an unusual way of shopping for a car.
Anyway to answer the question OP, a Polo GTI seems to be cheaper at £195.98 per month over 3 years with a £2591.81 deposit.
Oh dear, I thought you knew I was joking. Dude..Just in case you need a refresher on the difference:

Unsure will find a "cheap" lease for new cars with that engine. Golf R has gone up about 3k for the Mk8. Just ordered one on a lease.
FYI when I was looking the deals went up about 60 quid a month overnight from 30th June to 1st July. Assume some kind of targets?
There must be millions of cars running the EA888 as VAG use it in EVERYTHING now. After my EA888 had a catestrophic failure and then reading up about it not being uncommon I wouldn't have another EA888 unless I really liked the car first. Mind you that was an early version of the engine (mk6 GTI) so hopefully they are more reliable now.
