I've got a build to do, need to be able to do basic photo editing etc nothing heavy, maybe play AOE-ROR on it and nothing newer,
should I go for a X300 or a 6200/7300GS
want to spend sub £40

Sapphire ATI Radeon X550 128MB DDR TV-Out/DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (GX-098-SP) Price: £34.95 (£41.07 Including VAT at 17.5%)

OR

Leadtek GeForce 6200 Turbo Cache 256MB DDR TV-Out/DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (GX-060-LT) Price: £29.95 (£35.19 Including VAT at 17.5%)

What about onboard, the 6150 one is perfect for what you want to do.
Asus A8N-VM CSM Micro ATX (Socket 939)

7300GS is better than the 6200.

Onboard graphics 4tw :p

I managed to play CS 1.6 on my integral before my graphics card turned up :)

lol
I would but I'm leaving the option for an upgrade later so want to get a PCI-e card,

You could still add a PCI-e card later to a mobo with onboard graphics....it still has a PCI-e slot. You would save yourself the £40 then by buying the asus mobo

I built the inlaws a pc with onboard 6100 and it played dod:s at low res :)
