Following on from some comments in the 'Show us your bike' thread about Chinese CNC levers, I took a punt on some and placed an order. Total cost was £38 + £7 shipping, so a rather substantial saving over Pazzo (£70 each?).

Anyway, they just turned up. I've not fitted them yet, but they look to be fairly solid and pretty good quality. The adjuster is chunky enough and doesn't feel especially 'cheap', or likely to break.

I ordered the short versions in black, and to be honest was expecting something a little shorter than what they are. I can fit 3 fingers on them, but not 4. I guess that once fitted, 2 will be the ideal number...

I'll fit them later today. In summary, these look to be quite the bargain. Pictures below :)

they look wicked for the cost!! I would have some of those if i didnt have my ASVs, And the only reason i have those is because i got £80 off :D

And...... they're fitted.

It was mostly a breeze, clutch is very simple - just have to remember to disconnect the cable at the other end. The brake lever was a right pain though, because getting the spring / master piston / bushing back into the new lever takes all the force in the world. Fairly straightforward othewise.

Comparison between new and old:

look good, i would never buy a cheap lever again tho, I've had one snap on me before, luckily it was the clutch.... I replaced the matching brake lever straight away through fear

Was it a standard die cast pattern lever or a fancy CNC one like these?

A chap at work has these on his SV650, and I was very impressed with the quality of the machining and the fit and finish, but there is always that nagging doubt about the material quality

Got Titax ones on my latest purchase. Came already fitted. Took a bit of getting used to but really like them now.

I've been running "spazzo's" for a while now and for the money I think their great.
Some people swear by them others wouldn't touch them with a barge pole due to concerns about material quality, to be honest I can't see them being any worse than jap OEM levers.

But......
check the brake lever isn't pushing on the master cylinder piston at the resting position when you install the lever.
I've read that some levers are slighty miss shaped and cause the brake pads to be in constant contact with the disc's which leads to unnecessary ware of the pads and even lock ups.
In most cases it should be fine as there is slight travel in the lever but its definetly worth checking.

I had it with my levers but a quick shave with a file soon sorts it.

They were only cast jobs, I guess if they are CNC should be fine :)

I had these on my old CBR, if you feel any up and down play on them make sure the bolts are all tightened, mine were rather loose when i first got them, quick tighten and good to go.
