is the cooler a good choice ?
is retail cpu better than oem for £10 for any reason ?

I'd spend the extra tenner on the CPU, just for the fact that you get a much longer warranty. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along soon to give you a spec

Retail is worth extra for the added cover.

That CPU cooler is good. Won't get super high overclocks though.

Are you running a gpu with it?

Retail is better as you get the heatsink with it and the extra warrenty. as you are getting an aftermarket cooler you'll bust benefit from the extra warrenty (worth the £10!)

You could probably get cheaper RAM I'd of thought (I cant check right now but will do shortly)

i have a GPU that i will use for now (radeon 6800) until i get something better
