Games provide a good level of learning in the right scenario as well as an investment/reward method that keeps people feeling that sense of accomplishment we strive for. Children have that exact same mentality...
This, in my never humble opinion, is one of the most dangerous aspects of games for children or adults. It's very, very easy to use games to give you that sense of progression that you know deep down you should really be getting from real life stuff. I've done it myself for years, let some mmo or other hit the 'achievement' reward centre in my brain, rather than actually going out and achieving something for real.
I think it takes a certain personality type to be susceptible, but I don't think it's that uncommon either.
The only problem is that she needs to use two hands to move and jump out of the holes she digs heheh.
Kids have ago at that but they always want to run over the stig (man in the pits) not sure if that's a good thing
