Excellent shots there matey, especially consider the sheer number of bodies down there today.

By the time i'd got sorted and the wife and sprogs were ready it was 12:20 when we arrived at the town hall. Needless to say, all the zoom in the world could not make up for the lack of view :(

learnt my lesson and am going without the family next year :)

Aye excellent shots. I also noticed that your Chineese New Year pictures actually have Chineese people in. I found the Liverpool celebrations to be oddly lacking.

By any chance were you walking around with the leather pouch thing that you get with any L series of lens isnide China Town at any point?

Yea, there was a fair share of non-Chinese people there, but i tried to capture the Chinese ones, as i'd set myself a target so I wanted to stick by it ;)

I set myself that same target about 4 hours in after I realised my pics wouldn't quite reflect the Chineese part of it all :) So I pointed the cam at some Chineese girls and they ran off. :D

Haha, i had a simliar effect except the girl started crying :confused: I'm not that bad surely :o

Have you noticed how you always end up shuffling, as you make your way around the other side of the carpark! Did you stick around for the fireworks?

Thing to say to the girls was "Leng Mui, siu ah.." then snap away.
Translation. Pretty girl, smile! of course, thats assuming they want to be snapped, and understand the dialect! The ones i know, cover their faces and turn away - pretty normal!

I left before the fireworks, low battery = sad.
