My staple chinese takeaway is duck hong kong style with chicken fried rice

Get a curry instead.
But if you're set on getting a Chinese you could try Singapore Noodles. Usually vermicelli noodles, prawns and lots of chillies.

I always have the same thing
Beef and green peppers in black bean sauce with fried rice. Spring rolls, prawn crackers, chips, curry sauce, fried mushrooms.
YUM!
That isnt a one man meal there is it?
This most are total rubbish, rather than trying different dishes, try a different takeaway.

You are probably best finding a proper decent Chinese restaurant and eating in, then you can get a fantastic meal.
The types of Chinese that are more or less just a takeaway, maybe they have a few seats is always likely to be sub-standard in comparison. They aren't cooking for customers who they really see and a lot tends to be the greasy, MSG type food. At least that's been my experience of Chinese places.

Sweent and Sour Chicken (cantonese style, ie chicken separate)
But we have tons of chinese take aways round us, all of which are rubbish.
There is one however, that make stuff that is to die for. They close on tuesdays, and they don't deliver. They don't drop leaflets through doors, they don't advertise
But on a friday and saturday night they are always packed. They are that good, that despite appearing seemingly unhelpful and low profile, they pack the place out.
You need to find a take away like that.

haha, My boss at work, His parents run a Chinese takeaway too. And He can do the same. We find it hilarious, because we have a takeaway menu in the office and we test him.
