Chivalry: Medieval Warfare - Fps/hand to hand combat sim ( INDIE )

I was playing this game all last night, loads of fun :)

I didn't know that you could unlock different helmets by unlocking all the weapons, is there anything else like that to be unlocked?
 
You need to look at the point of the weapon as you block, and you can't keep your block up for very long so you have to anticipate the strike (watch shoulders for a wind-up).

New helmets are just aesthetic btw, they don't do anything special.
 
I got onto a server where people must have been similar to my lack of ability, and I managed to get my Claymore pretty quickly. I think my K/D was below 1, but it wasn't that far below.. Which I don't think is tooooo bad, for someone that's played the absolute minimum of FPS games. :) Good fun!

Patch out in January

- Duel Mode, allowing you to continually fight 1 on 1 without risk of interruption

- New weapons, including the Flail and Polehammer featured in the image above

- New Maps, including the Team Objective map Citadel pictured above and several maps for the new Duel mode

As well as:

- Capture the Flag Mode
- Optimization
- Balance adjustments

And for those of you who want the battlefield to be just a little bit messier:

- Blood Decals painting to the ground when a player is struck
- Ragdoll length slider

And of course TONS of bugfixes and polish work to the game overall. All of this is coming to you completely free in January so stay tuned for more details on the update and brush up on your dueling skills!

Cool news! this is a great game & it sounds like the devs are really getting behind the game to improve the experience, I really can't recommend this enough.
 
just got this on steam special offer, really enjoying it even though it has a steep learning curve.. Recommended good buy :D
