Chivalry: Medieval Warfare - Fps/hand to hand combat sim ( INDIE )

So far i've only seen defence,offence... You have to complete the object before the rest of the map opens up, the defenders have to stop you from doing so. For example in one such bit the guys are ramming down the castle gates, you have to stop them from bashing in and killing your king. The spawn areas then change!

I've played FFA, TD, Team Objective, King of the Hill and CTF so far and there is still another mode or two and they have all been fun.

WOTR only has TD and a hold an area mode, im sure they will add more in the future but at the moment Chivalry is better mode wise and fun wise.

I have them both and will play them both as they are quite difference in terms of pace and being more/less tactical.

Agh, why do I have to go to work! I wish I could pull a sicky and just play this all day. Too many games, too little time.

Protip I gained from the training (for those of you that'll skip it), you need to look at the blade of your enemy to block it, and you can only hold your block for about a second. I might try some of the other bits like feinting to see how they pan out in real online play too.

I have ordered this from Amazon for £14.07 but the release date says Friday unfortunately so I have to wait :(

does anyone know if this supports dedicated servers?

Yup it does very similar to a cod4 CSS or dod server finder had some awesome fun with friends last night on this. It's even funny if you die. Little tip for people as your sprinting pressing x makes your char do a war cry had us all in absolute stitches last night :)

Feinting is where it's at! I got quite good with it at one point. feint slice so they block then stab, so many people fell for it. Love charging at defenseless archers and slicing their heads off too ;) man this is such a good game, game of the year IMO.

These are by one of the devs, some good tips. should play it first person too much easier/better

I prefer third person, better view point around you plus i don't get motion sickness in third person, i would never have purchased it had it been stuck in first

I agree, 3rd person is better in general, although I can see the benefits of 1st person for duels. Much better view from 3rd so you don't get your head lopped off from the side.

I'll be there. I'm so inconsistent at this, I feel like I'm getting somewhere way up the top of the scores then next round I'm like 1 kill for 7 deaths :D
