is their much variety in weaponry? any hint at cavalry or is it all ground based? Apologies if any of the images/videos show this, im at work and all imagery is blocked so ive not seen a thing about it but it sure sounds great based on what everyones said so far!

All ground based. You'll want to watch some videos to see if it's for you. Basically, it's a total gang*** with screaming and swords (awesome fun). There's some skill involved, but it's not a technical game really. WotR is better for that, much more realism and nuance.
 
Because this video took over 15 hours to edit and that's not counting the time spent creating the original assets for it. It's completely impractical to produce videos like this on a regular basis without hiring on a dedicated editor. As it stands I do all my own editing work
