We lost but good fun, some awesome duels with me and Seb :D

Hey, I have seen a couple of videos for this and am pretty interested.

Is it like warband the combat as I was pretty damn good with a bayonet on the mods.

Is Steam the best place to buy it?

I've been given this to review, I'm bloody awful at it :o

Use the character to swing into the attack in other words you can take out more than one character by swaying your character to one target then when the second swing comes in go for another. That second swing is deadly :D also if in a dual use the stab and over top cut as some times that catches players out.

Archers are pants

Lost a bit of motivation to play this today, my rank got reset to 0 from like 14 so I lost all my unlocks :( it's a common problem according to the forums, patch coming out tomorrow to fix it. Oh well, back to the grind to get my messer sword again!

Not sure if its the same issue or not but I had a few games yesterday afternoon played a Vanguard mainly & I managed after a couple of games to unlock the Claymore, Anyway later that evening I go back on, have a few more games before I noticed my progress to the next unlock has not moved at all, I guess what I'm asking in this meandering way is, do you have to play on an official server to get unlocks? or is the reason my progress frozen because of a bug?
Love the game BTW so brutal but in a good way!

I've seen a few videos of this game and it looks like it lacks something. All the videos seem to be a bit of a mess with very random looking fighting with no strategy...a very far cry from the more distinguished strategic gameplay of war of the roses.

Is this a more arcade approach to the genre than war of the roses? I enjoy m&b a great deal and its the strategy that makes it for me. Just wading into battle and hammering moves doesn't seem very appealing...it might be fun in the short term.

Should I get this game?

Hmm i'm not sure why people claim that war of the roses is more " strategy and less arcade ", when in war you get " HEEEADDSHOT and MMMULTIKILL " plus the spawning of enemies in thin air next to leaders. In chivalry it's far more graphically pleasing, you have a lot more modes such as objective which is so much better than wotr, yes you have the decap but also you have to block and use different methods of attack.

What wotr has over chivalry is horses, different ways to block which chivalry doesn't have and also the archery is so so much better in war of the roses, in chiv it's like an after thought.

If you just wade into battle and hammer moves you will die

oh yeh and the screams of death in chiv :D

They are both great games but i prefer chivalry!
