Choice of ADSL on Ntl phone line

Hi, a freind has a ntl phone line as was given as AOL install disc which says you can use it on a ntl phone line. But I think using AOL would probably be a bad move.

Any recommendations for ADSL? I usued to use Nildram, ans looking at ADSL guide they still seem OK, but I recommended to my father about a year ago to use Plusnet as I had good experience with them a few years ago, but I read now that they suck hard.

Any suggestions? Just looking for decent quality BB with good Customer service and no extreme download caps.

Is it a NTL phone line OR NTL Service (NTL Freedom iirc) on a BT Line as;

NTL Provided line + DSL = No

The previous person had BT on the line, but when she moved in she transferred her old ntl number to this line, so that's how it's ntl phoneline. Does this mean it is possible to use DSL on it?

Regardless of the answer to that question, does anyone have any general ADSL provider recommendations. I have been happy here on ntl cable for a couple years now so have lost touch of ISPs..

If she transferred her ntl number to that line, that it'll be a BT line just with an ntl number ported over to it. You can get ADSL down there easily.

As far as recommending an ADSL provider, have a look at www.adslguide.org.uk.
