I don't agree that COD4 is a must own.

It will follow the same formula as all the others, a good but short campaign mode, then it'll just be multiplayer, which will get ruined by morons and slowly become less popular.

It's got pretty good multiplayer, but so did the previous ones, and the same thing happened.

I know I'll probably end up getting all 3 despite only getting about 3-5 hours a week on the 360 due to my nazi GF (she isn't really a nazi)

I will be getting all 3 as well, but only assasins creed this month, completly skint so COD4 and Mass Effect will have to wait till next pay day.

Get your gf involved by playing strip gaming. Like fusion frenzy who ever loses has to strip or perform a sexual act. good fun. cod 'over before it started' 4 is not a must own and neither is assasins creed but mass effect is GOTY.

I agree. I'd say they're about as much of a 'must own' title as any games released on the Xbox360 (or any console).

What a fantastic year for gaming 2007 is.

Aye, they're right up there with Gears of War, Bioshock and I guess Halo 3 as the pinnacle of console gaming on the 360.

Mass Effect is a must buy. CoD 4 i'll probably rent (6 hour campaign ftl) and Assassin's Creed i'll wait for reviews, but will probably import for the PS3.

Actually, Mass Effect is the one I'm least interested in. I can appreciate it will be a great game, I just don't know if it will be my type of game. I took the risk with kotor and found it boring. If Mass Effect is too similar then I'll be giving it a miss, or at the most picking it up cheap later on.
