Hi all

Hoping for some help i know 0, nothing, nada about cameras exept for i need a new one thats half decent.
Use wise manly taking pics of the kids would like to start taking some nice pics when out for walks etc. I suppose im looking for something more then a point and shoot but nothing as advanced as SLR.

Budget wise max £200 all in i know im tight :p as an example i found the Fuji FINEPIX S1500 seems great for a beginner however the only thing that put me off was the time between pressing the button and the taking of the pic drives me mad any more suggestions help or links please? :)

You'll need to keep the shutter speed up, preferably above 1/80s to be fast enough to catch people in shot. Maybe even 1/250 if your kid is on a sugar rush :p

You can either up the ISO for faster shutter speed, flash or hope the camera has a wide enough aperture for the shutter speed.
