Hi, I'm currently using a Ben q monitor 144 which is awesome but id like to upgrade to 1440p 144 or 244

Problem is my main game is warzone, which I hit about 100/120 solid fbs so technically I'm not even hitting 144 frames right now..

If I tweak some settings, is a 1440p 144 monitor going to affect my fps a lot...

And in a couple years Im going to upgrade my graphic card when the new series come out, that's why I was thinking I may as well buy a 1440p 250hz for that, but if I do that now will I still have a nice smooth game with a monitor that is way overkill for my gpu so i don't feel I need to get 1440p 240hz monitor when I eventually do upgrade the graphic card.. For when I'm hitting 250 fps in warzone. I do believe even on ultra high settings, the best CPU and gpu are only hitting 200 fps.. So they're not evening getting 250hz reward.. So that's why I haven't decided to upgrade the gfx card yet

This Is my current set up

PC Specialist Vanquish Renegade Pro Gaming PC, Intel Core i7-8700 3.2GHz, 16GB DDR4, 3TB HDD, 500GB SSD, No-DVD, NVIDIA GTX 1080Ti 11GB, WIFI, Windows 10 Home

Yeah, I've heard 1440p 144 is the way to go for sure, yet all I'm thinking.. For a couple hundred quid more, do I get the 1440p 255 ready for when I eventually buy a new GPU in a couple years that can handle the monitor full potentional, or is it going to affect the performance, and actually look worse than 1440p 144 monitor with my current GPU..

In that case may as well get the 1440p 144 monitor.. For my current GPU..

But if the 1440p 144 and 255 give me the same results on my current GPU then I may as well get the 240 hz ready for my gfx upgrade in a couple years

But I haven't a clue how this all works really.. I don't want to spend loads on a monitor that could make my game look worse, ie 240hz 1440p
