Chris Harris Slaps Ferrari on Jalopnik

Yeah that is the chap. Ranting and raving about how their performance figures are make believe yet the first part of the review he is stood their quoting them like they are amazing.

lol

Thought we were talking about a different Chris  . Pretty two faced isnt he.... Credibility destroyed??!?!

I don't see a problem with his older videos, it was just him towing the Ferrari party line for the sake of his job. It's not two faced, it's exactly what he's talking about now.

It's not two faced at all. I'm pretty sure I read it say the cars are so good they don't need this PR nonsense. There is no difference in opinion of the actual car

Autocar had a very similar issue with their recent 'Best handling car' feature. Ferrari insisted on bringing two cars to the track day where they tweaked the car to run the fastest time.
The 458 eventually did get the fastest time, but the author wrote that it was a hollow victory (unless they offered this service to every owner!).

It was slower than the GT3 RS out of the box by a good margin on that day, wasn't untill Ferrari had 'done their thing' it bettered the GT3 RS time at the end of the day I believe.

The point is, in my mind at least, that if Evo and Harris had such an issue with the make believe performance figures then simply don't mention them.

There is no reason why they shouldn't still do a glowing review of the car but it doesn't have to start with Harris standing there going "0-60 in OMG, top speed of WTF!!!!1"

well it does

because otherwise ferrari won't let you drive the new model on launch.

Ferrari sells magazines because of the massive fan base, so they have to tow the line and give it glowing reviews in order to get access to the next one.

He complains about having to be two faced in the Jalopnik column ?
