Chris Moyles leaves Radio 1

In before the fat useless **** brigade.

hes **** and fat

Too late.

Everyone will be begging him to come back after a morning of Nick Grimshaw!

This. I like listening to Grimshaw in the evening but I don't think his show will work in the mornings at all. He will be a tough act to follow, Moyles wasn't everyones thing but he has been incredibly popular. Will add this to the list of bad decisions by the Beeb such as moving Radcliffe & Maconie off Radio 2, putting Edith on the review show, Gemma Cairney on weekend mornings......

GTFO (in response to krotoon). :p

I'm neither here nor there on Chris Moyles. Nick Grimshaw seems like a bit of an odd choice but apart from someone who already works on Radio1, who else is there that would follow Chris Moyles?

I used to dislike his show but its grown on me over the past couple of years. However Scotts show (when he's there) isn't as good as it used to be. Chappers really made that show. Greg can't cut it at the drivetime slot. Fearne is meh. I don't like grimmy, he is along the lines of Sara Cox and her inane drivel that co stitutes a show.

Safe to say I'll be moving back to radio 4 for the mornings and then over to absolute.

Rarely listen to radio anymore, especially Radio 1. If I want to listen to music ill play some mp3s, if I want to listen to inane drivel ill talk to my girlfriend. I get better quality music and drivel doing it that way too.

Chris Moyles is just awful.

Can't say I've listened to Radio1 for a very long time but when I did they seemed to play the same 7 songs over and over again... Moyles wasn't that bad but talked waaaaay to much for my liking. I'm listening to the radio for music not to hear about how you're wearing odd socks or something.

Can't stand the man but I don't have to listen to radio 1 any more so I couldn't care too much less.

I used to have to endure him on the way to work each morning and they did my head in. Not funny, trying too hard and **** music. Winning combination.

I used to love listening to Moyles, I used to listen to him at 3pm and followed him all the way through to the breakfast show. Radio 1 just seems aimed at 13 year old females, it's cringe-worthy how bad it is. The music is awful (not their fault to be fair) and the competitions and what not cater for the worlds dumbest people.

I listen to xfm now which just replays the same music every couple of hours.

it's a bit of a shame in some regards because I quite like the bantery bits sometimes, and the replacement almost certainly won't be as good, but equally it's getting pretty tired now and he's better to go and not be pushed.
