Christians are becoming social pariahs in Britain

Personally I think he is talking utter rubbish. What is happening though is that Christianity is losing the priviliged place it used to have in the UK.

1st post on subject for weeks?

Do you think many posters start threads about the same thing over and over and over again? You have a problem.

what's your problem don't like the information I am posting?

I'm pointing out that this is one of the few subjects you EVER post about. I think you have a problem.

Welp, that certainly told me.

It has already become unviable to be a Christian in many countries now. See the plight in in Egypt where they are gunned down after church or the Exodus from Iraq plus more. As we take more immigrants from Muslim countries where this persecution is rife then how can we not expect these beliefs to follow with them? We don't ask them to integrate or accept our own common Christian based values so it is expected then that they would continue their beliefs and act upon them while here in increasing numbers.

Actually, to be fair I don't think he is having a dig at Islam this time. I think he literally means on a religious basis, chat about Christianity has been pushed aside, and seemingly the news now is dominated about talk of another.

Even though talk about Islam is very much more a political theme rather than a religious one (anybody can work that out), I still can't work out what that has to do with the article he posted up.

Christians get jealous because everybody is "too scared to offend Muslims".

So if it makes any Christians feel better... Mohammed is a paedo. I named my teddy after him.

Shrug. Being offended is a choice, lots of religious people - and lots of bile spitting "atheists" go out of their way to find offense.

But not in the UK. So not really sure how this is relevant? Other than of course another chance for you to take a pop at Islam.

By persecuting them? Is that how we do it? Or do you have another solution? Let me guess, is it only let white people in?

Remind me again what this has to do with what Jeremy Vine is saying? Unless you honestly believe that Vine is scared to discuss his Christian faith because of the danger of a Jihad being called on him? :D

Jeremy Vine is a good chap, even more so now I know he's a Christian :)

You'll be delighted to know that George Bush Jr. said something very, very similar to that about Vladmir Putin.

The UK is not a Christian country. Hasn't been for a long time. There's what - 2-3% of the population that are practising Christians now?
It depends what you would consider to be a Christian country. An overwhelming majority of the population of the United States are practising Christians, yet constitutionally they're as secular as secular can be.

One could say that the reverse is true of us. I'm not saying you're wrong, it's just dependent upon how you define a 'Christian country'.

The way we deal with Muslim oppression of non-Muslims in Muslim countries is by doing things right here.

By not oppressing anyone. By allowing freedom of and freedom from religion. By continuing to edge towards being secular. (Officially we're not but in practice we nearly are).

Exactly, "im offended, you offended my faith" urrm so ******* what.

Religion commands far too much respect when it deserves none.

k first Islam says to respect all religions, you cant go round killing people or destroying their place of worship, its unislamic. Secondly Christianity is apart of Islam i.e Jesus Christ for example any many more. People fail to understand Islam these days, they all take assumptions and never go and see the empirical evidence for themselves which is in the quran. Islam is a peaceful religion, sure there are a few nutters but the Islamic community is trying their best to educate these people through the use of the quran that violence is wrong.
