Christmas Cancelled - Santa Dead!

The timing is kinda funny, but only just. It's not really ironic - it wouldn't make sense for a man dressed as Santa to die at any other time of the year, after all. You may as well post about how funny it is for a milkman to die at work at half six in the morning.

Also, why should he get a Darwin award? Maybe if it had been some dude trying to climb down a chimney and falling to his death or something, but this? I appreciate you said that he didn't die doing anything stupid, but it doesn't even warrant a mention to be honest.

After leaving and re-evaluating my thoughts on this issue, I have decided that it really isn't funny, Darwin awards should never have been mentioned on my part, and I wish to take back any laughter uttered previously.

Apart from the reactions of the children to not getting presents if Santa was sick, none of that article was funny in the slightest. In fact it will make the Christmas season sad for at least one family in the area. My sympathys go out to the family of the man and to the children who had a supposedly happy time ruined by the death of the one man who was supposed to make it happy for them. Deaths at this time of the year are hard to cope with as it is a happy, family time and whether or not this man had a reason behind his death or it was accidental, it is no laughing matter.

So, sorry on my part,

Rich
