Christmas Tv has technology and the feminism movement ruined it for the rest of us?

What aspect of Christmas TV has feminism ruined for you, exactly? You can't just mention something like that and not actually explain, unless you're trolling.

Why watch TV at Christmas anyway? I'd rather socialise with friends and family tbh...

TV is there for evenings where you don't have anything to do (IMHO) and unless you're perhaps unfortunate enough to be in the position where you're really lonely at Christmas I don't see the point.

No only fools and horses

I hear that it's now fasionable to say you never liked it....that as well as friends

Here's hoping for a more sensible 2019 where dogs identify as dogs, and cats as cats

So all the SJW muppets on youtube are fake and made up? the 20-30 something people don't think like this?
the under 30's don't have a distinct lack of respect for people out with their bubble world? People who chop off body parts
and claim to be the opposite gender don't exist? people who have this mental illness don't want SPECIAL treatment in society?
Is it all made up?

I left home for university in 1998. Some of the flatmates had a TV in their room, others didn't. I was one of the ones that didn't have one. I graduated, rented for 3 years, then got my own house and still never owned by a TV. I just got used to not having one. I don't even use any form of catch-up.

Surely I win this thread?! Lighthearted post I know, but what I wrote above is true.

If I want to watch anything, then I have 2 cupboards worth of blu-rays and I go to the cinema from time to time.

I don't bother with TV/TV license either, there are a few things like BBC dramas that I'll maybe watch on say iplayer at my parents house (started little drummer girl, do mean to watch McMafia too at some point) though even then Netflix seems to get some BBC stuff too - I watched their version of War and Peace on Netflix.

I used to like panel shows like 'have I got news for you' and 'never mind the buzzcocks' but find them a bit meh now... would much rather go watch some live comedy in London - plenty of people out there just as talented as the various comedians on the panel shows.

It makes me sad that we pay for a TV Licence every year and all we get is repeat after repeat and of course its the same repeats all year round. We also pay for Virgin and again that is getting as bad as the normal stations with their repeats, as for Netflix it got us through our viewing but only just. Bruce Springsteen was right when he wrote and sang 57 channels and nothing on. Hope you all have a Guid New Year when it arrives.

Funny, because the BBC's output of original programming was particularly good this year.

Blue Planet II
Dynasties
Bodyguard
Killing Eve
The Cry
McMafia
A very English scandal

You could probably buy all those on bluray for less than £100. The licence fee may seem good value for families that watch TV indiscriminately, but for people who are selective about their viewing it's really not.
