Apologies in advance, i'm sure you're all sick to death of these threads.
I'm looking to get a new tv for my parents, to replace their old 32" worstmenusandcontrolever Phillips LCD. I've narrowed it down to 42" and plasma, which presumably leaves Panasonic as the best option.
The first one I looked at was the Panasonic TX-P42X10B at around £600, which seems to get generally favourable reviews. However, the TX-P42G10B is available with a 'free' Blu Ray player for £800. They don't own a blu-ray player at the moment; in fact they've never watched anything in high-def before, so that would be a big plus.
Is the TX-P42G10B worth the extra? What would you get in my position?
Also, can anyone confirm that they come with freesat and freeview? Much as I'd like them to have access to BBC HD, i'm not sure they've be up for getting a dish installed.
I have 48 hours tops to decide. Thanks all.
