every now and then when i go to a youtube page to watch a video chrome will stop responding and has to be restarted. does anyone know of a solution to the problem. ive tried clearing cache, cookies, etc but no joy 
chrome keeps crashing on youtube

Same with FireFox (for me anyway) only just started like a few days ago.
Edit Other people have mentioned it a few pages back

maybe try updating to the latest flash player might work

Does your video just display a green screen before chrome locks up?
If so, pause the video as soon as it turns green (that'll stop it crashing chrome) then right click on the video and click settings, then disable hardware acceleration - that fixed it for me
Now I just need to work out which codec/driver screwed it up!!

nope, no green screen, just stays on the usual 'i havent loaded any of the video yet' black screen and chrome promptly crashes
is there any way of manually updating the x64 plugin on chrome?

afraid not since they went down this route...good news is it's only 6 weeks between releases. i'd be tempted to try a different browser (perhaps firefox?) with the latest updated flash and see if it still happens to narrow it down...
