Chromecast & Android Tablet

got one of these today. Whilst it works flawlessly with an Apple of all things, how does one stream iPlayer to a chromecast via Android. The iPlayer app does not have the button in android like os on my wifes iphone.

Like this. it needs to detect your chromecst for the icon to appear.

The cast button appears on BBC iPlayer on both Lollipop on my Nexus 7 and KitKat on my Z3 Compact. Is wifi turned on? What Android tablet is it?

You don't need the Chromecast app installed, the cast button will appear on apps that use the Cast API regardless. But it might be useful to install to see if he can see the Chromecast with it.

Kitkat on my HO, Lollipop on my N10. Chromecast icon appears on both in the same place. You don't need the Chromecast app installed for it to work.

Is the phone/tablet connected to the wifi network? Perhaps restart the Chromecast and router?
