"The time taken to run the update and then re-download the deleted files is time that could have been spent on much more important things," he added.

Like what? Counting the collection plate? Touching small boys?

Don't be a troll, read the link.

You're doing more trolling than me. Where in the link does it meantion anything about collection plates or small boys? To me, the article looks like a pretty boring story about software which was labelled as spyware, and thus your comments don't really belong. Or you are you getting a different link?

"Whilst we are very glad that this issue has now been fixed, the issue at stake here is that there will be parish churches who rely on Visual Liturgy to create their service sheets who have been severely disrupted," said the spokesman.

"The time taken to run the update and then re-download the deleted files is time that could have been spent on much more important things," he added.

"As Christians, we're used to not always getting answers to our prayers immediately, but this seemed to take the biscuit," said the spokesman.

Symantec said it resolved the issue soon after the first complaint and advised people to update their anti-virus software so the problem would not happen again.

See it now?

Not that it takes THAT long, does it? Yes? No? Hummm :o

You try trying to explain to anyone exactly what they need to do to repair their computer.
Thee and me might be able to do it in a few minutes at most, but you're dealing for the most part with the non-technical type. For them it'd possibly take a few hours, by the time you take into account discovering the fault, phoning the support number, sitting in a queue to get through to an inundated support, being talked through the process etc. etc.

No, mainly stuff like helping in the comunity, charity things and building links to other parishes in African countries that value our help. The Church does a lot of charity and community work,

I understand you probably meant that as a joke, fair enough I more wanted to point it out for the people who think the Church does nothing of value
