UPDATE: v1.0 released on Steam and xbox (PS4 / Switch to follow)

ORIGINAL POST: This is only in Steam (PC) Early Access at the moment but "the game will later release for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch." ( https://discord.gg/U7sWc7Ha )

It can run on reasonably low or medium PC specs / laptops, worth giving it a go even if just trying it out in the 2hr return window... Might be tempted myself to get a switch just to play it on the go!

Example recent online league races (with the newly added replay camera angles):

It really is and new content being added regularly in Early Access. I just hope that netcode can get a further improvement before 1.0 release...

Latest video for anyone interested - Feathers (Caterhams) this time at a small 'club' circuit. Great fun ;-)

Can't seem to download the free version of this on the Xbox. It gives me 2 options, one is free the other is £15.74

Has everyone else paid for it?

I don't have an xbox but I am active in the main game Discord and haven't seen any mention of a free version.

Reminds me of Supercars and supersprint on the old Amiga. Looks cool, I think I may have to pick this up.

Great to see more and more interested in the game. I wonder what our average age is?! Plenty of younger players online but definitely appeals to the 'older gamer', nostalgia and all that!

    Looks like a good game.

It's not out on PS yet though.

No, but I'm hopeful that PS release will be soon based on what the devs have been saying previously. Hopefully before Christmas.

Just picked this up on Xbox and enjoyed it but I think at the moment, with the content available, I'd get bored quite quickly. I love the handling of the cars and the art style though. I'm looking forward to seeing where the game is in a few months time.

Work that is coming to Circuit Superstars very soon:

    • Reverse Tracks

    • Steam Invites

    • You’ll be able to invite friends into a game directly from the Steam friends overlay.

    • Screen Space Steering

    • Introduces an optional control option for players who would prefer for the car to steer with direction relative to the screen. Some players find this more accessible than the default driving scheme.

    • Replays saving on Xbox.

    • Xbox Series X|S – Tire marks are now visible.

    • Plus, several bug fixes and quality of life improvements. Details will be shared with the patch update!
    Next up

    • New gameplay feature: Slipstream.

    • Improvements to AI race craft.

    • Online - Improvements to synchronization and collisions.

    • Online– Play while you wait

    • You’ll be able to play other game modes or customize your cars and driver as you wait for an online game. This will result in fuller lobbies.

    • Practice Mode

    • To help you get familiar with tracks and hone in your driving line, you’ll be able to enter an endless practice session with your choice of car and track combination, racing vs your previous best time.

    • Single Player & local co-op In-race restarts.

    • New car, new track, new category!
    Priorities for Q1 2022

    • Custom Lobbies (AKA Private Lobbies)

    • Ranked Matchmaking

    • PlayStation 4 Release
