This might seem like a really random question, but a friend of mine plays Citadel Realm of Battle quite a bit and wants some spare parts of the board - he would like some of the flat bits, rather than the whole board or the hill parts. The full board can be found here:

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?prodId=prod730814&_requestid=438283

Now we have Googled for spare parts and even looked on eBay but I don't think individual parts of the board can be bought. Just in case though, I thought I would ask on here because we all know that the collective knowledge of all OcUK members is far greater than Google ;)

AFAIK at the moment they only do the full board.

I beleive they were talking at Games Day last year about the possibility of releasing additional parts for it if it was a sucess (younger brother goes to Games Day every year, and was really impressed with the prototypes they had on display*).
From what I remember my brother saying the developers of the board (they are made by a third party for GW I think), were talking about things like trench sections etc as a possibility depending on sales of the main board.

I'm hoping they will do more parts for it, as it's a great idea for setting up a non permanent solid playing table.

Given that it's Games Day on Sunday, I suspect if there is news of new parts to be available separately it might be announced then :)

*Enough so that both he bought one upon release.

Now that Games day has been and gone, does anyone know if there any plans to start selling individual or maybe even new pieces for this board?

at the moment it only comes in full board form but they are in the process of making additional sections, tranches, rivers and so on, i heard a date of april/may next year but nothing is set in stone apparently. i imagine if they've got anything ready to go we'll see it before christmas. they are playing their cards really close to their chest this year, only tyranids (afaik) have been announced more than around 3 weeks to 1 month before release and there have been none of the usual 'leaks'

Apparently my younger brother didn't see anything about realm of battle table Sunday :(

Ah that's good news Vincent, i'd love to get some more parts for our one, especially trenches etc (hills are easy to add to a playing surface, trenches tends to be a bit harder:p)

Have you tried Forgeworld? Also check out ChaosOrc.com, TheWarstore.com and Apocabitznow.com who are all stockits of individual Citadel parts. I haven't checked for the ones you require, so you'll have to try yourself ;)

yeah, aren't they just ^^. don't quote me on it though, as always it is a rumour. like i say, there playing their cards close, so it wouldn't have been announced at games day (i think most people are surprised tyranids were!) with their anti-leak thing they've got going on this year they could literally be just round the corner so to speak.

nah, nothing on those, FW wouldn't release them as they're a plastic product, resin has a tendency to warp and is also quite brittle. and i think the general consensus from the bits stores is that if they sold them individually all they'd end up with are hills ^^

Spoke with my local GW about this. Apparently they were getting so many leaks from the store workers they no longer tell them anything. First thing they really know about releases are when they arrive in the store, unless its a big announcement like the Space Wolves.

Good news on the new tiles :)

Hopefully something a little more scenic will be next ;)

Re the leaks, to be honest I'm not overly surprised they don't tell the store staff as much these days if they don't want it leaking out, although I'm sure there will still be leaks, just not as often (as the HQ staff are probably slightly less likely to let slip).

I've got to get back to painting my daemons this week, i've been slacking due to a nasty cold (although I suspect a bit of mucus would actually help the beast of nurgle i've been working on...).

Demons are a cool army, but an expensive one!

Im really looking forward to painting some more board pieces..... (The previous statement may have contained trace amounts of sarcasm....and nuts)
I did a snow theme for my board, painted and flocked it 3 times trying to get it right, looks pretty nice now, finally. What themes has anyone else gone for?

i don't have one, i play at my local independent retailer (sells models for every kind of game you could imagine) as my local GW is dross (since i left and the only other decent person who works there is in worthing and has been for the last year.) and i dont really have the space for the 6x8 table ALL games should be played on :D (nor does my local GW)
