This is probably a non starter but ill ask anyway cos im annoyed. Driving home last night down a country lane I moved over towards the side of the road because a car was coming the over way when there was a loud bang from the front wheel. I pull up and have a look to see a flat tyre and a buckled alloy... nice. Im going to go back and look to see what it could have been, but from memory, im not sure if it was a pot hole or a rock because the road was in a cutting and it could have been the cliff wall. What s the chances of getting the council to pay? Ive had a look this morning and ive noticed the back wheel has a chunk out of it too.
The wheels are bbs RC's which are on my golf anniversary, they are in a finish which you can no longer get and the cost £400 each from VW

If it was a pot hole then it is their fault, if it was a stone in the side of the road, then I'm not so sure, but you would think there would be a white line to warn that the edge of the road is there..... like I said, this thread is partly me letting off steam.....

im off to go look now, be back in a while

Ive been to look, its surprising how quickly I forgot where it happened.... 6-7 pints last night didnt help (the beers were after i'd driven home before anyone comments!) I cant see any pot holes ,the only thing it could be is various rocks which are on the road edge as the road is quite narrow, i must have hit one... bummer
