Hi all,
I've kitted out the shed with an external AP (in repeater mode) to bridge the gap with the main house. It means I can now get WiFi in the shed for some basic IoT devices, but it has the added bonus that I can use WiFi calling when outdoors. Which is great as phone signal is patchy.
Speeds / Latency seem OK given that it is acting as a repeater / extra hop.
However I've been reading that for outdoor use (license free), OFCOM say I need to be using Band B (Channels 100 – 140) for 5Ghz. The AP is currently using Channel 48.
Should I change it?
Thanks.
