Microsoft has annnounced that their Xbox 360 “Classic” titles will receive a price drop in time for the holidays the year and will sell for US $29.95 and GBP 24.99. Titles include Perfect Dark Zero, Kameo: Elements of Power, and third party titles King Kong (Ubisoft) and Condemned (SEGA)re. A second wave of “Classics” is planned to be announced in spring 2007. What makes a game a “classic”? Most likely when its sales dwindle to near nothing, be that as it may $29.95 does make these a great value.

$29.95 and £24.99? Another rip off for the UK.

Aye but the likelyhood is game online etc. will be selling these for £19.99 or less which isn't bad.

Imo it's a nice range of titles and should bolster chritmas sales even more.

No, but like I said, anybody cant get them for that price and anybody who buys games from a shop is a mug.

True...I was looking round town a bit yesterday and saw games like FIFA World Cup for £49.99...can't believe anyone would pay that. GAME & Gamestation seem to charge upwards of £30 for some pre-owned games as well

Are the prices you mentioned on import or from a UK site btw? (and if they aren't a competitor can you post a link please?)

Why are people moaning about this? It is great. Lets face it, if you don't have the games yet, you will be able to pick them up for very little real soon. Yes, £25 is more than most budget games, but it is still half price. Factor in online prices, and you have some good deals.

I think dirtydogs gripe was $29.99 is about 18 quid but we are getting charged £25, not that they are coming out with classics ;)

Well, if you convert US$30 to Pounds and add tax, you get almost £19. Yes, we pay quite a bit more but still, it is half the price of a full priced game.

Basically, big deal. Same as always. It might suck, but it is just the way things are. If you don't want to buy them, don't! If you want them cheaper, search online etc.
