Just a heads up, was booking by motorbike in at clay cross powersports today, owned by Stratstone group, only to be told when I rang them up (phone obviously been directed) that there clay cross showroom has ceased trading as of Nov 2010.

What a shame, great shop, great staff and brilliant cafe. Loads of us bikers used to go there for a coffee and natter and walk about.

Anyhow, just letting some of you local guys know in case you had not heard.

Small update on this.

CMC at Chesterfield, are now moving there in February. They have premises in Calow in Chesterfield, but not that big, rang them today about booking my bike in for a service and they said of there move.

Dont know about Jobs as I presume the staff from CMC will just move there and was speaking to a girl on the phone at CMC other day about servicing my bike etc and she said she worked at powersports for 12+ years.
 
Yes been up there this morning for a coffee and look around. Nice range of clothing now.
Booked my bike in last saturday of this month for a service (£119) and mot £29 also got a loan bike whilst mine is in for a few hours.


On a side note. My bike Yam FZS Fazer 2003 600c.

I have no mates who are bikers. So CMC are doing the service etc, anything I should get them to check or will they check everything ? as I dont know much about bikes. im not sure what needs to be checked or replaced. Bike has done 9956 miles. (not bad on a 2003) and in perfect nick.


Oh also picked up a Haynes Manual for £19.99 from them as well.
