Hi,
I spilt some oil on the top of the engine the other day whilst filling up the oil (only a small amount spilt). What's the best way to get this off as it stinks when it's burning off!

Cheers

I use Gunk engine degreaser. Gets the oil off nicely, but has to burn off as well, so you may trade one smell for another!

In the past I've always just let it burn off, wipe the worst oof it off with a rag and then let the rest smoke off the block. The gunk stuff smells worse than your oldest trainers imho.

Once you've owned a Land Rover for any time, you learn to like the smell!

Hehe, reminds me of the time I managed to splash 20/50 all over the exhaust manifold. Was driving around with a nice haze of oily smoke pouring out of the bonnet, with people guestering and pointing... I just waved and smiled back "It's alright, it's fine, it's supposed to be like that!"

:D
