Just bought a soft top 330Ci and loving it :D

Though it's become pretty manking with driving it from Bristol to Scotland. I was going to stop at the local jet wash today but wasn't sure if the high power jet was would ruin the roof?

Or is it ok to wash the roof with the hose or is it meant for just the body work?

Yeah thats what i thought. The car is pretty dirty though so the jet wash should be ok if just used on the body work.

Dont jet wash it.

I found it was best to take a brush (eg normal dustpan and brush type) and give the top a good brushing when it was dry.

You can also get some sort of black liquid that protects the top and helps it keep it waterproof plus restores the black colour. I cant remember the name but it cost about 20 quid.

Got it for 11500 of the guy yesterday, totally loving it :D

Guy was looking for 12995 but got it down with a new MOT too. Will try and get better pics once I have it clean hehe

Wow that looks tasty! I apologise if you've said, but what year is it?

I hope the boot is a bit bigger than the z4 drop-top!

Nice car!

Definately do not use a pressure washer on the roof!

AutotGlym do a kit for fabric roofs which works a treat. It comes with a spray cleaner, a rough sponge which wont ruin the fabric and then a protector which you leave on over night. Ive not got round to using the protector yet because of the weather. BMW also do a roof cleaner which is around £15 but most people tend to go for the autoglym kit :)

It's a Jan 2004 car but in great condition.

I really need to clean the car as its pretty manky from driving the 400 miles home. So am gonna take it to the jet wash for just the body work. I'll look into getting the hood cleaner stuff though. Thanks for the info :)
