Watched a video of some guy fitting a clear clutch cover to his 1299 Panigale and I think it looks pretty good!

However, I’m sure there are downsides - both technically and the marmite factor, some people will love it, others not so much!

Thoughts on here are welcome.

They look kinda cool, I suppose.

As for weaker, they are indeed. However, I’m sure if you crash a 1299 Panigale to the point the clutch cover has taken a beating It’s probably well beyond the write-off point anyway.

I have a 959. So not quite the same velocity as a 1299 but quick enough :)

Did some research and apparently the seal isn’t as good. Prone to getting water/mucky stuff in there. Not good, especially with a slipper clutch.

Do look cool though.

It'll be made out of rubbish plastic with a crap finish so won't seal as well as the OEM part and will go cloudy over time. As long as you realise that it'll only last a few months and may have to finish it properly (debur it) you should be fine.

Personally I wouldn't touch it but I can't see why you shouldn't provided you know what you're doing.

I would go for it, I don't think someone who buys a 1299 give a f about what happens when they crash the bike. It deffo looks good, I would go for it.
