I'm restoring a table and two chairs which is taking forever. Fortunately I'm nearly at the point of applying final coats of paint, but I have no idea what finish to use. The colour is light green and I've used oil based paint from the primer up.
I've been told that oil/solvent based clear finish will yellow and to use water-based acrylic with a colour this light, but I can't seem to find any agreement on which type/brand to use. It's a kitchen table so while I'll be reasonably careful with it it does need some protection. Anyone have previous experience with this kind of thing?
