I'm sure Millions even Billions of pounds have been given them over the last 15 years or so, and there still isnt a cure..

Totally. Lets face it, if we keep giving money they wont find a cure, just spend it on beer and fags.

It just seems like its a never ending problem..

With all that money it would have been better to give it to people in Africa or somthing!

Why? Let them sort themselves out? Finding a cure for cancer is a far more deserving cause than shovelling more money into that corrupt cesspool of a Continent. Although, one could argue that Africa is a cancer to the planet, but that's for another thread.

Who's to say there's not a cure just around the corner? We'll never know how close we are until we get there.

It's also worth arguing that it could be sort of an evolution-based population control. Black death and so on before it. Maybe we're not meant to cure it. Again, probably something for another thread.

By the way, sorry, but I couldn't help but correct your spelling in the quote, so it's not a direct quote.

Hmm what would I rather do? Give to another country who has millions and millions of poounds of support with multiple charities giving to it (and a massive campaign on tv every year) or give the money to a cause that's going to help the entire World?

I agree what happens in other countries is a nightmare, it really is, but I'd rahter give to something thats going to help against this absolutely horrendous illness.
