Well if they don't then the American system of naming the seasons becomes even more pointless...

Actually though I do find it occasionally handy just to confirm, it's not something I tend to think about often so the little rhyme helps me check.

Never understood how this is supposed to help as "Spring back, Fall forward" would make just as much sense.
