Ok, so I have my new rig ( as in Sig below) which came with a 256gb NVMe 961 drive in the first M.2 slot.
The motherboard is the MSI B450 Gaming pro carbon AC which has a second M.2 slot, so my question is , can I use a program such as Macrium Reflect to clone my 256Gb NVMe drive (currently occupying M.2 slot 1) to the new larger 1tb NVMe drive placed in the M.2 slot 2 just for the clone operation?

Any pitfalls with this approach?

I don't know really, :p I know the second M.2 slot is not " the same" as slot 1 in terms of speed, but I would have thought it would be fine to transfer the clone across?

I just read a whole bunch of things going wrong for experienced tech types ( youtube clips a plenty) but there doesn't seem to be anything out there for motherboards with two m.2 slots...so I thought maybe nobody has written about it as it can't be done that way
