Everybody aspired to have a pair of these

The 90's was a 10 year shocker for fashion. What a terrible, terrible time. At least you can look back on the 70's and go wow groovy man. The 90's? You just looked like a prat :D

The mid to late 90's saw a boom in brand names plastered all over everything. Going out attire for 'lads' was typically black Armani Jeans, light blue Ralf Lauren or chequered Ben Sherman shirt, shiny black shoes with a silver buckle and an equally tacky branded belt.

Anyone remember the NASA jackets?
Yup, I had one of them. Probably wore it with my massive Blue Bolt jeans, Dready t-shirt and Reebok Classics. If rave scene fashion ever took anyone by storm I think it was me. At least my Slammin Vinyl record bag was actually straight from Slammin Vinyl and I did keep records in it :D

I used to get a lot of my clothes from a shop called Mash on Oxford Street in London which I think is still there, but without the massive speakers or DJ Noodles mixing jungle. Records used to come from Black Market records just round the corner and another shop on the King's Road which I forget the name. Bluebird Records in Bromley was closer to home but nowhere near as cool and there was more chance of getting into trouble there. I used to get all my Seduction mixtapes from the Laserdrome raves in there though.

Was that 90's? I remember the name at the end of the 90's or early 00's and it was a sub-brand of Topman or Burton or something.

Can't see it mentioned.

Carbrini ski jackets sold by JD sports mid to late 80's. Don't get me wrong, the brands the king of carp these days, like ocean pacific.

Those jackets were pure quality though. everything was stitch embroided, not a print in sight... id pay virtualy anything to claim one back. I had the lime green electric blue.. X10 what the campri jackets were.

Ben Sherman shirt

Was going to mention this, under 18s discos were packed with guys wearing these - I had no idea why we had to wear them, but it was "the rules".

Otherwise it was sports brands already littered through this thread.. I had a pair of Kappa trousers with the clip-on buttons all the way up the outsides. I thought they were great until people started unbuttoning mine from foot to hip in one pull, in public. Didn't wear them again after that!

Unfortunately for my bank balance I was a bit of a clothes nut in the 80's 90's & early 2k's....then came kids.
