Clutch Slipping? YZF R 125

Hi
I replaced my clutch and brake levers for shorty type and tightened up as normal. Now in 4th and 5th it gets past 5000 rpm and then just revs like crazy with no forward drive. Feels like the clutch is slipping at this point. Has anybody got any ideas what this may be? Or how to fix it? It didn't do it with the stock levers on the bike.

Try backing the cable off a little see if that helps. Seems a little odd if thats all you have changed.

Your free play in the clutch isn't right, there should be a few mm of movement in the clutch lever before it gets stiff to pull.

Twist the adjuster and get some free play.

Adjust the clutch cable, adjusting just near the cable might not be enough. I had to adjust mine near the clutch rod on the SV.
