Clutch Sticking

I have a 306 D Turbo S reg and the clutch has just started sticking. When pressed it doesn't come back up further than JUST above the biting point, sometimes this means that the car will rev because the clutch isn't fully engaged. I had a look and it seems as if the spring has broken on the clutch (metal bits are overlapping). Will this be the cause? How much am I looking at to get it fixed? Could it be anything else?

Thanks in advance :)

Cheers for the replies :)

Am I likely to be able to get this part from somewhere like GSF? I had a look through the Haynes manual and it said there are no spare parts for the pedal assembly, although I'm not sure if this includes the spring? Surely I should be able to get a replacement spring rather than shelling out for a whole new pedal assembly!
