Looking for games that can be played co-op online with something modest like an 860M

Rocket league comes to mind first and Portal 2?

Most zombie shooters are coop. WorldWar Z, Left For Dead, Dying Light. Most of the recent Sniper Elite games are also coop.

Orcs Must Die 2 is a great coop game that I always recommend and should run on most systems.

Division 2 is my drug, not sure if you can run it though.

    Both Lara croft games
    l4D
    Payday 2
    Borderlands - all of them
Dawn of war ...2 I think it is but check which one.
    Trine trilogy
    Dungeon defenders
Alien breed trilogy (rock hard tho)
    Satellite reign

F2P warframe may not run well but it's free so try it

I almost exclusively coop these days when in MP.

    Lots of newer games
(Gears of war games, destiny 2 strange brigade and more but they need higher end gear)
but the above will run on lower end gear

Torchlight 2 is good fun if you like action RPG games.

Is it much different to vermintide one or is it essentially just new levels?

It's a lot like the first, but it fixes some of the niggles and the loot system is better. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

    warhammer 40k : dawn of war 2
    guild wars

    how does something like
    everquest 1/2 or Albion Online
    Planetside 2

i've not really done much co-op sadly, but all the ones from other people i would suggest as well.

    Don't Starve Together
    Dungeon of the Endless
    Magicka
    Helldivers
    Factorio
    Castle Crashers
    Battleblock Theatre
    Gauntlet
Hammerwatch - there's a second one too IIRC
    Overcooked 2
    Saints Row 3/4

I'd imagine most of those would run, maybe SR4 might have issues. There are some good suggestions in the thread already, Torchlight 2 (NOT #1!), L4D, Portal 2, Guildwars (1+2), Monaco, Terraria, Grim Dawn etc etc.
