For PS1 & 2?

I need some shooting action for me and my sister who doesn't play alone :p

House of the Dead 2 for the dreamcast is good fun but i don't like having a whole games system kicking around for just 1 occasional game. So looking to sell the dreamcast and getting a replacement shooting game for the PS2 (Can be a ps1 game, don't care for the graphics, just want some fun)

Die hard trilogy's shooting section is excellent, if only it was co-op :(

virtua cop special edition is 2 player and I think time crisis 2 had a 2 player mode but it may have required 2 machines/tvs (sorry for being vague but I sold my PS2 a couple years ago)

time crisis 2, you dont need 2 tvs/ps2's but it is a little arwkward cos you get 2 boxes on the same screen so very small screens.. id imagine time crisis 3 is similar

you may want to try point blank series on the ps, i had loads of fun with them in the arcades and id imagine the ps version is very similar.. its just loads of fun mini games

the only other light gun games i can think of for ps2 is vampire night and vittua cop 2, both of which have co-op i think

Oh yeah, time crisis sounds great, just a shame about that split screen thing, due to the gameplay i guess, but i might try it

is point blank 2 players at the same time?

Just remembered time crisis 2 had a mode where you could play the single player game but use both guns (on one screen) so you can get a kind of 2 player coop going.

If i remember correctly, Vampire night. (I think thats what it was called) Had the 2 player co-op both on the same screen, but split occaionally. it seemed easier than time crisis though.

Imho for the ps2 point blank II & III were the best, co-op is great fun, just wish it worked with my plasma :( . Guns are a little bit of an issue as they were ps1 games.Time crisis was ok.

I'd still rate dreamcast hotd 2 as one of the best too though.

I think you can get plasma-compatible light guns nowaday, look it up

Yeah you can and I have researched it. But it's the biggest pain in rear ever, you have to attach things to your tv and alsorts of rubbish.

After a while I just thought it'd be easier and cheaper to buy an old 32" TV.

Strange that, you'd think of all TVs, a flat panel LCD/plasma would be the easiest to make a light gun work with

btw, are you sure the newer plasma-compatible guns aren't simpler?

I bought one of these:

PS2 Sabre gun, £6.50 at a popular national high street retailer

And found myself point blank, you're right, i've been missing out on this great action for 8 years! Foolish of me to have never jumped on the point blank bandwagon years ago.
