COD Black Ops looks pretty good on PC

Ghost Pro takes away your red marker when someone uses any kill streaks. It also means Cobras wont target you. My only problem is that if i have Ghost Pro i have team mates spawn on me and if i'm trying to lock-on to a chopper gunner or Hind then i normally die from them being targeted and the insane spray kills me.
 
Knife Running

I understand what people are saying about knife running,

But its not as easy as everyone makes out. It does actually have its own set of skills that are required. I think a lot people who just call it an Instant win button are missing point. 99% you can't run straight at someone, you have come from side or behind. sometimes you can run at them, but normally that means you taken them by surprise. most knife kills when running come from catching people from the side, round corners, flash bangs, or just reloading or off guard. you can tell the people who have skill in BO because then normally take me down quickly before I can get in Knifing distance.

I would say the Big failing for most players is tunnel vision. which is exactly why knife running is so effective. because players tend to only aware of what's down the barrel of there gun. which means, as knife runner I can come from side and knife them.

for those who argue that its not realistic, I don't think Black Ops is realist at all anyway. there is a lot in game that makes it unrealistic and I think Knifing is not one of them. I just enjoy knife running as I enjoy the challenge of being sneaky enough to get behind the enemy and come from behind or, catch player out who's camping, a lot time Knife running is one best counters to a camper. I think those who keep attacking knife runners. are missing the point and normally those who get caught out by them. like people who keep getting shot by campers, normally bitch about camping. my view is look at what skills and tricks make it harder for Knife runner to get you. then work on those skills. then you will start being able to counter a Knife runner.

atm this game feels totally broken online.

Nothin to do with the game the balance and gameplay is great, but performance is shocking.

I and a lot of others i spoken too play mw2 and world at war perfect, full settings.

Black ops is another matter it just a lagggy heavy sluggish game feel constantly online.

makes no sense, why is black ops soo poorly optimised and just feels horrid?

So far quad cores i know play it well and very very high spec cards due to taking all the load off cpus. but i dont understand why game just feels soo laggy and stuttery.

Knife 'running' is a complete load of bull.
It really doesnt take any skill past being able to move and press 1 button. It is ridiculously easy to do - I can do it, so can my 12 year old brother. But I dont because its the cheapest tactic around.

Its people that play like Kitten that make me hate the CoD nowadays. At least a grenade launcher would actually kill someone used how it is in the games.

So you make a big post about how knife running isn't lame... then post a video showing you doing exactly what is lame about it to prove your point? Sure you got some people in the back, most were still in the face after running through a hail of bullets.

Don't forget big, its even more 'pro' if you do it with Marathon Pro, the absolutely retarded upgrade that goes from 2x Sprint to infinite Sprint giving you absolutely no reason to not run like a lunatic.
 
I kinda agree, but it`s in the game and everyone should play however they want to play provided they aren`t glitching or cheating :o

lol you obviously watched my video, rarely did anyone get a shot off, the first people who actually shot me, was shooting at my feet in panic. the Sniper right at start missed his shot. the next two did not bother looking down. I could go on, but if any of people I knife has shot me in face or top of chest, I would have gone down.

got love the haters. always saying there no skill attached to it, but never actually do it and always come up with some silly reason about how they would never do it because it "So Lame"

end of day its in the game and its not going anywhere. and I will keep knifing running as enjoy it. but as usual instead of giving decent reasons. the haters always just make personal attacks and say its Lame. its valid tactic and I people are not going stop doing it because someone who get knifed goes "That's Lame"

This.

Its one thing if someone does it as a panic reaction or because theres every chance that the other guy will do the same thing, but someone who purposefully makes a class just for sprinting around one hitting everyone are the worst.

If the game had some element of balance to where people spawned so there was a front to each team it would be much less tactless.

They weren't 'shooting at your feet in panic', just thirty seconds in you can see a guy shooting plainly at your chest and head and you still teleport towards him and get a knife insta-kill.

And who's contending that they can stop you doing it, and who's 'insulting' you? :confused: If you can't win the normative argument about tactical validity / desirability then please don't make up accusations.
 
I've got no problems with Knifers, i hate noob tubers more tbh. Nothing more satisfying than using a shotgun to put Kitten down :)
I've found that with Knifing you need to be further away than you think you should be. The lung really can cover quiet a large distance and i often find myself lunging past someone if it try it too late.

The only thing even remotely amusing about your vid is in first person mode it looks like you're skiing with the knives almost looking like ski poles. Besides that its almost certain to send people into a coma.

A good suggestion I've seen to counter annoying grenadiers is making your character move slower when you have it out, as the problem ultimately is players using the grenade launcher as an avenue of first resort in medium-range combat rather than a tool to clear out rooms or where you don't have a direct line-of-sight.

The problem is a lot less prevailant in Black Ops anyway, as they removed the ability to refill grenades with the scavenger or one man army perks and made attaching a grenade launcher more of choice (you can't use underbarrel attachments with Warlord / Bling anymore).
 
Guys jsut had my first quick go, the mouse movement feels really weird, and the movement in general.

Nothing like say TF2, CS, CSS etc or any toher FPS ive played.

Is this just how the game is?
 
Knife running where you go around "Face stabbing" people is lame, because its lame....

its almost exploiting the fact that with marathon lightweight you will always be "a few" frames ahead of where the enemy will perceive you to be when you lunge stab them, even if they get time to react on their end its probably way too late as they are already receiving a face stab set of packets.

It does take skill to move about on a map like it and not get slaughtered at range, but to me these maps are almost all VERY short range, its a knife runners dream, all the maps have extremely tight areas and room to room fighting.

Mate of mine got a nuke by stabbing people while hosting on MW2... to me that will always show just how stupid it is.

check you have vsync on, with it on it will give very rubbery movement that feels horrid.

if you dont then.... yes haha:D
