COD Black Ops looks pretty good on PC

i starting to give up on game after this stupid stuttering feel, constantly feels like i playing on a ****e system with non stop lag.

ofc system fine and internet fine as mw2 is a perfectly smooth game as well as other games like crysis .

can somone please tell me how i can check why i getting this stupid laggy feel to game it totally unplayable ie i can play but isnt worth playing with it.

need advice barthe stupid upgrade system or refund game.

have done a lot of console changes but still nothin too.

need help before i go back to shop and punch the managers lights out after "the game has a few bugs that will be sorted " speech before i bought game.

-Singleplayer is good, but has mouse smoothing you can't turn off & it's not that hard at all, apparently you can let the ai play it for you.

Despite the bad points, when it works it's a pretty nice game.

Knife running, Sniping, Tubing is as fun as it ever is and haters gonna hate.

I'd recommend it "if" they fix these issues.
 
Mouse lag is also present online. I hope treyarch get it all fixed. Ive hardly played cod BO and wont until they sort it. I also hate how high damage weapons take half a mag or a whole mag to down someone. And a lot of the time you pump them loads for them to shoot you once. The weapons need to be better balanced and high power weapons improved damage to represent their stats. Been playing MWF2 and its ****ed me off again. I get annoyed with people who think quick scoping is a skill. Take off sleight of hand pro and steady aim and then we see how good you are.
 
What bugs me the most is that if you invite a friend to your server you're hardly ever on the same team :/ In MW2 you'd always be on the same side as your invited friend. I want to play with friends to group up and be on the same side as someone decent, it's very annoying!
 
I think it's complete bull**** that they release and charge full price for such utter ****e, that only runs on 1/10 decent pc's or requires a hundred tweaks and configuration trial and errors to get the ****ing thing running. Clearly they rushed to release it early to capitalise on the holiday season shopping. I've not had a single pleasant game since buying this piece of crap and it's even driven me to consider selling my Steam account. Which is also another piece of **** cos you can't get refunds.

I was actually referring to the servers being down so the game being unplayable since i loaded it up and couldn't do anything :p

Sniping? Seriously barely anyone snipes in this game. Theres simply barely any long range opportunities to do so.

All I do is snipe, but if you mean it gets rid of all the campers who can't really aim then I agree. I use the L96 regularly and find it fantastic. I've had some fantastic shots, shame when I run fraps the game lags and stutters like hell, shame the Theatre feature is completely broken, I just had an immense session yet it hasn't recorded any of them.

Majority of this game is, as expected, a complete pile of ****. Buggy as hell as the game keeps crashing too (disabling shadows appears to have possibly fixed that for the time being)

Search and destroy is the only mode worth playing. Remove helicopters from the game completely, reduce the amount of shake from explosions and running then i might actually like the game...and it's not because it makes it harder, it just gives me a ****ing headache

The game is good no dout, mw2 had many failings and black ops has addressed many of them.

But as many have said the performance issues really let it down and with many issues seem random and make very little sense accross the pc spec it hard to work out what the causes are.

what can you do to even find out what your black ops is having problems with ?
i have heard from clan mates some treyarch members in their test rooms have said dual core patch is coming out soon but untill then what solutions are there bar the console config changes?
 
I don't understand - didn't they beta test this game on numerous setups?? Did they just test it on their in house systems and think it was good to go? :s Surely they must've had SOME indication from some of their tests, especially considering how many people are now complaining.

It seems more than likely that the player either had stacked care packages from previous lives, or was calling in turrets, or both.

Your post does seem oddly reminiscent of a bug in the early Modern Warfare 2 though, where if you climbed an object while striking a tactical insertion with a care package marker in your hand (a bit of a mouthful I know), you got two care package markers. Repeat as necessary.

Well yes but 'you' would constitute 'barely anyone'. I've sniped on occasion and found its effectiveness to be debatable. The scope zoom is laughable for those rare maps where there is actually a long range opportunity and its tempting to say you'd be better off with the ACOG sight going on the offensive thanks to its 1 hit kill if you hit anywhere on the body (supposadly).

Fact is if you want to snipe, go play MW. The spawns shift around so frigging much on this game thanks to the small maps that the 1 or 2 viable spots, if any, on most maps become unusable very quickly. Its really not uncommon to kill 1 or 2 people coming down 1 area only to be shot in the side of the head by them upon respawn.

Nuketown is actually a really good place to snipe, can't wait for more maps but I agree their isn't many "sniper" maps.
 
I wonder if it's worth starting a campaign to get a refund. If thousands of people join it Steam would have to do something. Power to the gamers!
