Coffee + idiot = new laptop hard drive

I came into work this morning to find a pool of coffee around my lappy, its used as a desk top because of lack of space on my desk, no one fesses up.

Anyway try to boot and get boot failure, open the lappy up and eventually find coffee in the little caddy and the logic board is fried, shot down the road and get a new 2.5 HD and that sorted it.

Anyway there is new mechanical damage to the coffeed drive so i thought i could buy a new logic board.

So can a buy a new logic board only

Its a seagate mometus 4200.2 60 gig

It's unlikely that you'll be able to buy the circuit board on its own. A better bet will be to try and find an identical drive and swap the boards over. The only problem is by identical I mean identical - same model, same revision, same firmware, the works. Even then it's not guaranteed.
