I'm after the ever useful collective knowledge of OcUK to recommend a coffee machine. One that takes ground coffee and preferably doesn't need paper filters, but thats not paramount. One with a hotplate to keep the coffee warm would be good.
Not really bothered about super duper ones that make cappucinos and what have you, and don't want to spend hundreds, which I know you can. Just a good reliable one that will last a while.
